Seneca Landfill, Inc. Announces Operator and Rock Truck Driver of the Year for 2023
We are pleased to announce the recipients of the 2023 Operator & Rock Truck Driver of the Year Awards to Curt Myers and Bill Clarkson. Curt has been an operator in the landfill for 4 years and Bill has been driving for us for 18 years. Both employees demonstrate excellence in safety, work ethic, customer service, and are always team players willing to help out. Join us in thanking and congratulating these two for their years of hard work and dedication!

This was done to acknowledge their hard work throughout the year and to celebrate Vogel Holdings 65th Year in business as one of the largest independent providers of waste collection & disposal services in Western Pennsylvania and Eastern Ohio! Each employee started the year with 40 tickets that they would then be able to put into a raffle at our annual Holiday Luncheon. If they were involved in any preventable incidents throughout the year then they would lose tickets depending on the severity. This safety incentive helped engage an already very safety conscious crew and made for some fun and camaraderie throughout the year! Our winners of the five raffle baskets are listed as follows:
Dennis Alcorn – is a 30 Year employee and is our Operations Supervisor in the landfill itself. He was our 2018 Operator of the Year and is responsible for training new operators as well as conducting & delegating the day to day construction of the landfill. He won our pet themed basket!
Steve Yohe - Started at our sister company (Tri County Industries) in 1988 as a mechanic. He has since worked in our high BTU Gas Plant and now assists with daily facility maintenance. Steve won a small cooler stuffed with safety goodies.
Justin Voll - joined the Seneca landfill team just this year as a General Laborer. He won our bag cooler filled with camping items!
Rick Haskin – Has been with us for two years and was 2022’s Rock Truck Driver of the Year! He won a Blackstone Griddle themed cooler filled with safety items.
Bobby Gall was our Grand Prize Winner for the safety incentive raffle! He has been an equipment operator at the landfill since 2018 and always demonstrates a great work ethic and overall positive attitude! Bobby won a large cooler stuffed with safety goodies and tons of camping necessities. Congratulations to our winners and we want to thank all of our Seneca Landfill employees for your constant safe work practices, accountability and reliability!
