Disposal Drop Off Facilities
Seneca Landfill's trash drop-off facility is accessible to residential and small business customers, waste-haulers and garbage collection companies of all sizes. We also offer free recycling drop off.
Accepted for Disposal
Seneca Landfill accepts a full spectrum of non-hazardous waste:
- Residential/Household Solid Waste
- Municipal Solid Waste
- Construction/Demolition Waste
The following waste streams require authorization and permission from the DEP and Seneca Landfill:
- Clean Fill
- Combustion Residues
- Metallurgical Residues
- Contaminated Soils
- General Plant Refuse
- Asbestos Containing Waste
- Chemical Wastes
- Municipal Sewage Sludge
- Auto Shredder Fluff
- Sludges, Scales
- Industrial Equipment, Scrap
Not Accepted for Disposal
Due to the nature of our landfill and federal safety standards, we cannot accept:
- Whole Tires
- Hazardous Materials
- Liquid Waste: oil, antifreeze, wet paint (paint can be dried)
- Medical Waste
- Radioactive Materials
- Appliances Containing Freon (unless they are tagged by a certified technician that the freon has been properly reclaimed)
To meet the special needs of our industrial customers, Seneca Landfill developed a waste acceptance and criteria plan approved by the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (PADEP). Seneca’s waste consultants provide assistance in the identification and proper handling of all types of non-hazardous industrial process waste.
Seneca Landfill simplifies the approval process by working with our customers in the completion of all permit applications required by the PADEP. Seneca consultants also advise customers on sampling and testing requirements, and can offer source reduction strategies. Additional fees may apply.

E-Waste
E-Waste may be brought to our drop off facility during the hours listed above. Fees apply. Call ahead or come to the scale house to get instructions for payment and unloading.
Disposal Drop-Off Process
- Enter our facility through the main entrance. Directions
- Proceed directly ahead and on to the scales to get your loaded weight. If necessary, the operator will also verify your PA waste hauler sticker.
- The operator may ask you questions and will let you know when to proceed to the transfer station to unload.
- After unloading, proceed back to the scales to get your empty weight which will determine the weight of your trash.
- Pay for your disposal. We gladly accept cash, checks (with proper ID) and Visa, Mastercard, or Discover. We do not accept $100 bills.
Important
Act 90 Requirements
The Waste Transportation Safety (Act 90) requires all waste transportation vehicles (trucks and truck tractors with a registered gross vehicle weight greater than 17,000 lbs., and trailers with a registered gross vehicle weight greater than 10,000 lbs.) transporting municipal or residual waste to waste processing or disposal facilities in Pennsylvania to have a valid Waste Transporter Authorization. The law prohibits processing and disposal facilities from accepting waste from waste transportation vehicles that do not have a valid authorization.
Proof of Registration will be required, so please bring your registration card with you.
